Serendipitous

As I've mentioned, doTERRA has special offers for consultants when they make purchases for personal use. One of my purchases, they sent me their digestive blend of oils called DigestZen. This blend I would have never ordered myself even though I have a ton of digestive issues, none of which are typical, I mean where do you get the oil for the chick whose guts have been ripped out! I really would have never thought that something like that would actually help me. Call it serendipity... or maybe even a guardian angel with a thing for essential oils was looking out for me (I mean, why not?!) Either way, I put that oil on all the time now! It is a combination of ginger, peppermint, tarragon, fennel, caraway, coriander and anise. I've had gastritis and gallbladder issues lately which leave me nauseous, bloated and in pain, more than the usual. I was so surprised how quickly the DigestZen worked after I applied it and that it actually helped with ALL of those symptoms. I was, once again, thoroughly impressed. Well played doTERRA, well played.

My heaven sent oil ;)

I have a serious crush on the oil blends that doTERRA makes. Sometimes certain oil singles work better for someone and not as well for someone else. I hear people say, well peppermint doesn't work for my headaches. And someone else will swear by it. Honestly, peppermint alone doesn't completely work for my headaches either (but is still amazing for fevers, sore muscles, indigestion, sinuses, energy... etc.) But using a combination of headache blasting oils like the ones in PastTense roll on, is the best way to go. Besides I am THE WORST decision maker ever, so when I can have multiple things all in one, psssh sign me up! PastTense combines wintergreen, lavender, peppermint, frankincense, cilantro, marjoram, roman chamomile, basil and rosemary.  If that doesn't sound heavenly, I don't know what does.

My guinea pig is sexier than your guinea pig

My sweet husband is your typical man's man, and a skeptic of any fru fru magic oil I try to convince him of using. But, he loves me and silences his skepticism and allows me to do my thing. He does love a back rub with lavender and peppermint when he has messed up his back at work. But who turns down a back massage so I understand if you are not impressed. However, the other night he came home and was beyond stressed out. By the time we got into bed he was still going a hundred miles a minute about work and all the crap that had gone wrong and all that he needed to fix. I asked him if I could rub some oil on his feet, and he obliged, too distracted by his restless mind to care either way. I grabbed one of my favorite oil blends, Balance, and rubbed a few drops on his feet. He continued to stress about every little thing for about 15 minutes when out of the blue he said, "wow, I feel really tired..." and within a few moments he was out cold!

Here he is folks...man handling our infant child. Ha! If it worked on him, it will work on you!

Balance is one of my favorites because it helps with worry and stress. It has spruce, rosewood, frankincense, and blue tansy with fractionated coconut oil. Frankincense is actually a very expensive oil so to have it in this blend makes me feel like I'm getting so much more than I should be! The smell is delicious and it truly grounds you. It has a beautiful blue color because of the relaxing blue tansy. Love this oil!

An introduction is in order

I want to start off by saying, yes, I am in fact selling doTERRA oils, but it's not what you think! Or maybe it is... I can explain!! My intentions are not to make a bunch of money, in fact if I can get you an oil at cost, I am all over it. I became a doTERRA consultant because I absolutely love the product and if I was going to continue to spend my money on it, I might as well enjoy the perks that come along with signing up with them! I'll have to talk about those later. I am slightly obsessed with these oils, and it only makes sense this is where I have ended up.

To give you some background on me and essential oils, let's go back to 2009 when I was first introduced to them. I was trying to live a healthier life and going off all kinds of meds. My first oil was not doTERRA, can you believe that...(see I told you I'm no sales lady!) It was a different brand that shall remain nameless, a calming blend and I loved it. Yes, there are other brands of oils that are really great, but after years of using all different kinds of oils, none compare to doTERRA. Sorry, truth folks!

I carried that bad boy all around with me, including on our family vacation to Lake Powell. This was a very important vacation because it was the last one we had all together as a family while my sister Amberly was still 'healthy'. In the years to come we learned all kinds of things about holistic health and we were introduced to these amazing oils. She actually met the CEO of the company and he gave her a VERY generous amount of oils and an aroma touch class for free. Both of us had used other oils and just really fell in love with doTERRA and I know they helped her through some rough times. She has since passed and every time I use certain oils, I think of her.

You can see how emotionally tied I am to these oils. My health and the health of my family is so incredibly important to me. So here I am, preaching the good word of essential oils! I know my sister would have done the same. I'm sure there will be many posts to come about her!

So, I've completely convinced you to buy these oils, haven't I? What with all the non info on the product and a short boring history of myself.... oh wait.. ha! More posts to come I promise as for now, check out my site HERE for purchasing or reading up on the oils.
